🔎 STARTING FIVE

In this new segment, we will preview Men’s Basketball’s opponents for the upcoming week.

  • Recently, the 7-1 High Point team closed out competition at Cayman Islands with an incredibly narrow 76-73 win over Hampton

  • Star player Chase Johnston opened the contest hot, knocking down three threes in the first seven minutes

  • This past Wednesday, Kentrell Garnett of the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns drilled a three with 42 seconds remaining as the team went on a 10-0 run to snap a seven-game losing streak

As we approach another week of hoops, let us take a few moments to scout the College of Charleston Women’s Basketball team.

  • Most recently, the Cougars downed Jacksonville State to move to 3-0 on the road this season

  • Leading the team, Taylor Barbot mounted 13 points, adding four assists and seven rebounds

  • Following her teammate, Lara Rohkohl earned a season-high 15 rebounds on the night

  • Earlier in the week, Taryn Barbot secured her first weekly award after being crowned CAA Player of the Week
